House of Octomom to Be Sold at Auction?

Amid her escalating financial problems, the La Habra, Calif., home of "Octomom" Nadya Suleman is scheduled to go up for auction Monday, according to reports.

Suleman and her kids could face eviction if the house is sold.

This, obviously, would compound her problems after recent allegations she had been neglecting her 14 children while spending hundreds on Brazilian blowouts.

The vile living conditions at Octomom's house led to a visit last week from police officials and social workers, but her kids haven't been taken away ... yet.

The complaint said the children appeared to be malnourished and unclean, and Suleman locked them in their rooms while she attended to personal matters.

The social workers spent about two hours there, and somewhat surprisingly determined the Octo-children were not in danger and should not be removed.

Nadya, who had six kids before she welcomed octuplets, has already been on the cusp of foreclosure numerous times in recent years, and just went on welfare.

It's unclear whether she'll be evicted after today's auction, or if Steve Hirsch will buy it in an effort to coerce Octo into doing some film work for Vivid.

We're kidding about that last part ... mostly.

Nintendo 3DS turning purple on May 20th

Pink, red, aqua and black not good enough for you? Fine. Have a purple one -- if that's what you really want. Apple and Samsung set to meet May 21st, hug it out over 48 hours

These two brawlers were given until July to come together and mediate over their numerous globe-spanning patent lawsuits, but it appears neither side needs to wait that long. According to Foss Patents, May 21st and 22nd have been circled on the calendar of a certain San Francisco courthouse, where Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero will attempt to arbitrate in a calm, soothing voice for two days straight. Presenting himself as a confidant who sits outside of the main litigation being conducted in San Jose, Spero has already asked both parties to open up and provide "candid" statements about the strengths and weaknesses of their own cases, as a first step towards identifying areas of compromise. Fortunately, he still has a few weeks in which to devise further cunning plans.

Rocketfish's Sound Prism is triangu-lovely

Rocketfish's Sound Prism is triangu-lovely

Cunning design is a wonderful thing, and this triangular bundle of smarts is almost meta! Rocketfish's Sound Prism is exactly what it says it is, a three-sided speaker bar with a twist (metaphorically speaking.) Inventors, CRE8 Design studio, cooked up the clever idea of using the empty space created by a folded Apple Smart Cover. This fella neatly slips into the cubby-hole of the folded case, and attaches itself magnetically. It's Bluetooth, so can pair up with any compatible device, but won't look quite so snug as when used as nature -- or rather its creators -- intended. How much for a slice of the Pythagorean action? That'll be 80 rectangular dollars, sir.

Motorola brings the MOTOLUXE to Canada

Motorola Motoluxe

Motorola is still all about bringing its devices to as many countries as possible, and that is something that we have grown to love. Next up on their list is a Canadian release of the MOTOLUXE,  the 4-inch widget heavy device that we first got our hands-on back at CES.

“With its stylish design and media features, MOTOLUXE is the perfect smartphone to complement our busy lives,” said David Petrou, sales director, Motorola Mobility Canada. “Not only does MOTOLUXE have the power of Android, it also has a fun, adaptive and easy-to-use user interface, a big vibrant screen and a sharp camera to help you capture your everyday life.”

The device should hit carriers around Canada in Q2 of 2012, so be sure to be on the lookout for it! Press release after the break.

Demi Lovato: Attacked On Stage in Paraguay!

An attempt at a kind gesture turned very scary for Demi Lovato in Paraguay last night, as the singer was forced to leave the stage and put a halt to her concert when fans leaped up and tried to embrace her.

The 19-year old initially tried to give fans a better seat, only for attendees to get carried away and actually jump on stage. Security intervened. Demi walked away. Order was restored and she eventually returned to finish the set.

But it's easy to imagine just how frightening it can be to see an influx of hyper strangers heading your way. Watch it all unfold now:

Earlier today, a series of Demi Lovato tour dates around the U.S. were unveiled. Click on the preceding link and find out when she'll be singing at a locale near you!

Australia gets Google Play Movies

Google Play Movies

Good news for our friends down under, as Australia now has access to Google Play Movies, as you can see by this screen shot. There's still a pretty big empty spot there, though, and that'd be for Google Music. Will we see expansion outside the U.S. any time now? Let's hope.

Thanks, James!

Believe It Or Not: Justin Bieber Unveils Album Cover!

Pop star tweets standard and deluxe album covers for June 19 release, cryptically telling fans, 'expect the unexpected.'
By Katie Byrne

<P><P>Judging by the cover art for <a href="/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>'s <i>Believe</i> album, the 18-year-old pop star is well aware of one of his best assets: his boyish good looks. The cover, which Bieber <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/justinbieber/status/196005439043928065" target="_blank">tweeted</a> on Friday evening (April 27), is simply a black-and-white close-up of his face with the word "BELIEVE" stamped in a yellow caution-tape font underneath. </P><P> </P><P>"Here is the #BELIEVEalbumCover standard version," he tweeted, <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/justinbieber/status/196006318425915392" target="_blank">followed</a> by a second tweet that included a sepia-toned version of the same image: "and this is the DELUXE #BELIEVEalbumCover - #52DAYS - excited? expect the unexpected." </P><P> </P><P><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:754722/cp~vid%3D754722%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A754722" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed> </P><P> </P><P>After posting the <i>Believe</i> album cover on Friday, Bieber <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/julieannxoxo/status/196007330838626305" target="_blank">retweeted</a> one fan's over-the-top reaction to the artwork: "That awkward moment when I almost ran over a lady and hit the car in front of me cuz I saw the #BELIEVEAlbumCover lololol," @julieannxoxo wrote. </P><P> </P><P><a href="/news/articles/1683335/justin-bieber-believe-the-voice.jhtml">Bieber just revealed the June 19 <i>Believe</i> release date</a> last week on "The Voice," also bringing along a teaser from his yet-unreleased "Boyfriend" video. Google MapsGL updates 3D buildings, improves virtual tourism

Google MapsGL update adds parallax perspective, improves virtual tourism

Google's been spending some quality time with its Maps offering of late. Most recently, it overhauled the 3D buildings and landmarks to make them, well, better. This time, its Maps' juiced up sibling MapsGL that's been feeling the paternal love. The WebGL-based 3D renderings have been the same treatment, making your virtual aerial tours all the more realistic. Now, as you glide over the landscape, your view of the buildings is much more like real life. Or you could just take the lazy tourism one step further. Hit the source for examples.

Usher To Preview Looking For Myself At Off-Broadway Show

Singer tells MTV News 'Fuerza Bruta' matches the 'more artistic' music on his upcoming album.
By Jocelyn Vena

<P>This Saturday (and this Saturday only), Usher will appear in New York City's "Fuerza Bruta," an off-Broadway show where no one speaks, but the story is told through bright lights, music and dancing. In the lead role of Running Man, <a href="/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> will also use the show to preview his June album release, <a href="/news/articles/1682140/usher-looking-for-myself.jhtml"><i>Looking for Myself.</i></a> </P><P> </P><P>Fans in the audience will likely get closer than they've ever been to the singer, as the audience stands during the performance, becoming another member of the company. With several weeks until his album release, Usher explained to MTV News at a rehearsal why he wanted to use this show to preview tracks. </P><P> </P><P><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:764205/cp~vid%3D764205%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A764205" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed> </P><P> </P><P>"I felt like the natural elements as well as the emotion of 'Fuerza Bruta' would definitely speak or be significant to some of the stories and I guess hopefully a connection [was there]," he explained of tying this performance to his album. "When we began to explore different directions [for the performance like] maybe we use some of their music, maybe we use some of mine ... and before you knew it the idea came together. We tried it, I got on Running Man and it worked." </P><P> </P><P>The show will stream his entire album, which drops June 12, and he thinks the mind-bending artistry of "Fuerza Bruta" works with the sound he's created on it. "This is more artistic of an album than I've had in history," he said. "And I felt like yeah, it would be a lot for me, but I was willing to at least try it. There were many times I had seen the show and I only hoped that I would be able to make it happen." </P><P> </P><P><center><a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/?fid=1617615"><img src="http://www.mtv.com/news/photos/s/spotted/banner/spotted.jpg"></a></center></p>
