The unique, fun and beautiful Fanshawe Dragon Boat Festival, an annual treat for paddlers and spectators alike, is returning to nearby London, Ontario on June 15. This year?s event is expected to attract more than 50 teams to the scenic shores of Fanshawe Lake for an exciting day of boat races.?
The event, which will also feature onsite food and merchandise vendors as well as fun activities for the kids, is a true community event. And once again, Photographers for Charity will be onsite to capture all the race action and beautiful scenery at the Doug Wells Rowing Centre on Fanshawe Lake.
This year?s event will benefit the London Health Sciences Foundation.?Paddlers participating in the festival are encouraged to collect pledges with all proceeds of the program going to the Gene Goudreau Patient Assistance Fund.?This fund helps patients struggling with the financial burden of cancer diagnosis and treatment and makes a notable difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.
